Re: STM acquires Atollic

perhaps the class would be filled with attendees running out of seats if the topic been changed to "IOT:Arduino on 8051" I recall that there was an 8051 GCC, back when I was programming 8051 17 or so years ago. Actually I looked it up, it was called SDCC. The code was not too efficient and we...

Re: STM acquires Atollic

I gave a lecture last week at ESC (Embedded systems conference.) It was combined with a biotech conference as none of the foundries were there this year. (Intel was promoting Alexa, and I never did get to the Renascence(Hitachi) booth.) Most of the Booths on the ESC side were promoting "security sol...

Re: CubeMX ioc files - add a 'collecting them' thread or section?

what did they call it? Not exactly sure, this was in one of the STM postings. As I do not use python, I sort of noted it then went onto other things. I'd have to search the forums, which I do not have time to do at the moment. not sure i follow that istr a warning about renaming and then saving a C...

Re: CubeMX ioc files - add a 'collecting them' thread or section?

Some time ago I wrote a simple parser in postscript for *.ioc files. My collection of STM32 boards is quite eclectic, So I have a number of different files. To truly get the full picture that CubeMX presents, the static XML files are also useful. Fortunately STM came up with a python script that wor...

Re: Hosting currently running slow

I have noticed a bit of sluggishness in the loading of some sites. As I have a cousin on the Richmond/Huston boarder I was following the local Tx live streams on you tube. Leaving them on all day. It could also be that the ISP is load balancing (ie: throttling) users who use a lot of bandwidth. They...

Re: Insufficient user base to support OSX ??

I have a number of open issues on github related to OSX on LibMaple and the bootloader, but we do not seem to have anyone on the forum or github who has the skillset / time / interest to support OSX (aka MacOS) So, I'm beginning to wonder if I should remove support for OSX from Libmaple. - This is ...

Re: STM32CubeMX generates gcc makefiles now

Nice to see official support for makefiles. There have been a number of 3rd party scripts to do this, including mine.

I have been busy with other projects recently so have not upgraded the Cube MX tool. Probably time to do so.

Re: 3.2" HX8357B (16Bit) Library for STM32

Interesting. 3.2" HX8357B were given out a number of years ago as free samples at trade shows. These have the Part number TD320 on them. No one ever really posted to the Yahoo egroup https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/TD-T320/ I was given a handful to experiment with. I did track down that Adafruit...
