Re: more fun with C++, templates and GPIO

is it possible write this so that it could be used for any port eg A, B, ... G etc ? @zmemw16 I was looking at this again for some reason. I made a simple change that lets you do what you want. I added a generic template member function called GPIOPortX() that returns the proper port based on a num...

I will probably use up all the red pill with point to point wiring and move forward to go with the blue pill after that ...
The red pill and blue pill use the same pinouts. You shouldn't have to do anything. They are completely interchangeable.

Yes I think it is a bot. Seems to have a negative response bias ; )

Re: Blue Pill - Error trying to program

Use a wire to connect the TX to the RX on the arduino mega, then use a terminal program that lets you set the parity, (say something like putty) and see if it works properly. Try 8-E-1.

Re: Blue Pill - Error trying to program

Does your arduino mega as a usb work properly with parity?

Do you have an FTDI usb dongle you could use instead?

Re: Counterfeit F103s

I would think if you really cared you would buy from an authorized distrubutor . The other alternative is to use the low cost Nucelo / Discovery boards. They would still be low cost (assuming you are in the US) but they will be made with real chips for sure. If you go the China route, you pays your ...

Re: HAL_SYSTICK_Callback not working on Nucleo-F103RB in Arduino IDE

While your approach might work with the HAL based core it really isn't very Arduino friendly. You could accomplish the same thing by making a call from your loop() function or by adding a SerialEvent handler function. volatile bool oneSecFlag = false; void setup() { // put your setup code here, to r...

Re: STM32F103ZE 64KB Memory Handle Error

It does appear that it allocates an empty String.buffer character array when the String array is initialized. When I was debugging, I noticed the String.buffer variable being NULL. However, by the time you get to the setup() function, String.buffer does have a valid heap allocated value. The minimum...

That isn't what I observed in the debugger.
