How would I go about getting this setup in Clion? Tried using the Clion Arduino plugin and using the boards.txt of the project, but I'm lost from there.

Never used CLIon.
Don't know if other users use it nor if the use this plugin anyway it seems interesting.
There is more and more IDE and plugins which are able to deals with Arduino ecosystem but I never find one which does not require some manual updates or workardound mainly for third party core.
I hope the new Arduino Pro IDE will help to unify this.
