Hi - Interested in stm drones.

Post by stmDroner »

Hi.
I am here because I am interested in stm drones that use the Arduino IDE.

I have only been able to find one so far. It is the STM-32 quadcopter by Joop found here...
http://www.brokking.net/ymfc-32_main.html

I have modified his code to work in my VTOL airplane. My latest code is here...

Joop did a great job with his project but he doesn't update it very often and it lacks a few features I would like to use. Such features as automatic 90 degree board orientation switching for use in tail sitter VTOL airplanes. Also heading free mode would be nice. This is where a right roll command on an RC transmitter always makes the aircraft roll right regardless of its yaw orientation.

Any help in improving Joops code or in finding a similar project with the above features would be greatly appreciated.

Hi stmDroner and welcome.

the project uses the libMaple core from Roger.
I don't know if it exists some other projects but I guess yes. I'm not very aware of drone.
Hope some other user could share their experience about that.

Hi fpiSTM and thanks for welcoming me.

I'm very thankful for Roger's help in providing info that allowed me to get this far. Could have never done it without his and Joops help.
Hopeful it will help inspire others to make such project and contribute to making them even better. I'll keep an eye out for that.
