Redesigned Blue Pill boards?

Post by ronthered »

I ordered what I thought were "Blue Pills" from this ebay link. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/314478928994
In the photos, the Pill on the left was ordered "pre-Covid", and I can program it in Arduino as I should. The Pill on the right was ordered in early June 2023 from the above link. I set it up to work with the USB downloader and "Blink" runs properly, although I have not had the time to do much more as yet.
I have noticed that the two boards have different undersides. Has there been a redesign? To be fair, the link did not advertise it as a "Blue Pill", but as a "STM32F103C8T6 ARM STM32 Minimum System Development Board Module". I am just wondering if anyone knows what is going on.

It's conceivable that the "Blue Pill" yougorilla tag ordered is actually a common development board, the STM32F103C8T6 ARM STM32 Minimum System Development Board Module.

As long as you use the appropriate libraries and configuration, you should be able to write it just fine and have the same functionality between the two.
