stm32 has bluetooth chips these days

but it seemed wifi hasn't been much of a ST solution.
I think part of the reason is IP rights, Qualcomm has lots of WiFi related patents especially those newer ones like WiFi 6 etc

which means that you may not literally just make the socs for specific WiFi even if you know how to do so without paying for the patents rights.
