Arduino for STM32

i'm not sure if i saw the price correctly, but that our fav stm32f103c8t6 is coming at US$18.2821 that's pretty much as costly as a Raspberry Pi (3?)

Seriously?

Everyone in the industry "knows" that when you deal with an official supplier that carries real "stock" for quantity shipment, one pays way beyond the price of the melted sand.
The hobbyist often balks at the wholesale under 10 qty pricing and then there is the shipment cost to add... makes low volume consumption expensive. There is always alternative, low-volume resellers on eBay and Aliexpress, example:

it is quite interesting that this time round from the usual places on octoparts it is actually cheaper than lcsc this time round even for the low quantities. but in short if we assumed that lcsc supplies the chips (due to the locality) for all that 'blue pills' then plus the extras it probably cost like usd $20 per board for a (original) blue pill now

oh and ok stm32 is an 'automotive chip' yea it has can bus, my guess is these days a lot of vehicles 'run by wire' i'd guess that's why
