STM32WB30 + MPU6050

I watched a video by Joop Brokking for programming STM32 + MPU6050 with Arduino (link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImctYI8hgq4). He mentions that we need to add 2 extra 4.7K resistors to the SDA and SCL lines to get the correct 400KHz. This is a 3 year old video so I was wondering if I still have to add those resistors? I am very new to the STM32 world and recently came across this forum and any help would be really appreciated.
