F401RE + X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3: serial monitor is blank

Nucleo64 F401RE + X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3
Sketch: examples \ X_NUCLEO_IKS01A3_HelloWorld.ino
IDE: 1.8.18
OS: Win11
Issue:
The sketch is successfully compiled and uploaded to mass storage.
The first time I could see the sensors data (temperature,humidity ecc)
printed on the serial monitor perfectly.
After that I don't see anything anymore. The serial monitor stays blank.
The serial monitor is set to 115,200 NL.
I wondered what could have happened.
