FAQ's

Q. What is this all about?
A. It is about using the Arduino IDE and API to program STM32 based controller boards.

Q. What core should I use for STM32XY MCU?
A. In general the STM supported core has the widest support for different MCU families, but the libmaple based core is fast and memory efficient for F103 MCU series, but doesn't work or has limited support in other MCU families, (F2, F3...)

Legacy:
Q. Why the forum do not restore old data?

"... fast and efficient..." is a 2-edged sword. Roger is still taking pulls, so the core is not dead, but the core is not commercial quality and there is little regression testing. Support and feature growth are in the beg-ware realm.

I believe that if you are fully capable of understanding the libmaple core and can support your own fixes & enhancements, then continue and have fun. However, if you rely upon this (or other forum) for support, you will be better served and more successful using the STM Official core.
